Upcoming Performances

Hello blog readers! I’m writing to share with you the dates I’ll be performing at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this August! I’m very excited to be performing with two great artistic collectives.

First, I’m delighted to be a part of the spoken word collective Loud Poets and joining them for their Fringe Show. We’ll be at the Scottish Storytelling Centre every night at 9pm from Aug. 6-31. Each show will be brilliant, but if you’re interested in catching my work, I’ll be on the 7th, 10th, 12th, 19th, 23rd, 25th, 28th, 30th, and 31. Tickets are now available here and the Facebook event page is here.

Second, as I’ve discussed on this blog before, I’m interested in the creative possibilities when one plays at the intersection of dance and poetry. When a Fringe show combining dance and spoken word put out a call for artists, I was elated! I’m so delighted to announce that I’ll be performing two shows with The Artifact during their Flow! SHORTS and Flow! FRINGE series in Edinburgh.

1 – Flow! SHORTS: 13th August 2015 – Bark Productions, Woodland Creatures, 260-262 Leith Walk, Edinburgh, EH6 5EL (shorter show; I will be performing as a poet. Free and no advance ticket reservations.)

2 – Flow! FRINGE: 8:15pm, 18th August 2015 – International 1, Sweet Grassmarket, Apex International Hotel, 31-35 Grassmarket, Edinburgh, EH1 2JF (hour-long show; I will be performing both poetry and dance. Tickets not yet available.)

The Artifact is currently crowdfunding to support these shows. If you’re interested in pledging to their campaign, this will ensure that the artists they collaborate with are fairly paid. Cheers!

Hope to see you at some of the shows! As always, thank you for reading. I plan to post more essays here soon, along with my reflections on being a poet and audience member at the Fringe.
