In addition to her artistic practice and scholarship, Katie works as a producer and arts administrator in the Scottish and wider UK poetry scenes.

Since 2015 Katie has worked with the Scottish production company I Am Loud CIC, and she currently serves as their Director of Education and Access. I Am Loud is Scotland’s foremost spoken word poetry organisation and the home of the premiere event series Loud Poets. Katie coordinates all of I Am Loud’s education and development programming, including facilitating workshops for organisations and schools across the UK and Europe and leading the Loud Poets Writing Club. Alongside the rest of the I Am Loud team, she works to produce and deliver Loud Poets live events across Scotland, including showcases, poetry slams, open mics, and more. Katie has also worked with several other major UK arts organisations, specialising in developing and delivering publicity strategies. From 2020-22 she managed the social media for StAnza: Scotland’s International Poetry Festival, and in 2020-21 she worked with StAnza to develop and publicise their Poetry Map of Scotland. In 2022 she served as the Publicity Manager for the inaugural Sylvia Plath Literary Festival. From 2019-2021 she worked with the non-profit arts organisation Scottish Design Exchange on several projects, including developing and delivering their social media strategy and re-designing their online store.
